Teddy’s Transportation System, Inc. is committed to providing sustainable solutions for executive ground transportation. Our core values include implementing green initiatives without sacrificing quality. We have invested in financially sound technologies that reduce emissions and make your corporate car service, airport transportation, and corporate events substantially better for the environment.

Satellite Fleet Tracking Significantly Reduces Teddy’s Carbon Footprint

In 2005 Teddy’s drastically reduced its carbon footprint by installing Satellite Fleet Tracking technology to monitor engine performance and abusive behaviors such as excess idling and wasteful speeding. (According to the California Energy Commission, two minutes of idling consumes the same amount of fossil fuel as driving a mile.) Demanding that our chauffeurs drive eco-friendly has also helped us contain costs and keep fares down.

63% of Teddy’s Fleet are Hybrid or Flex-fuel Capable Vehicles.

In 2008 we purchased the first two Lexus RX400h hybrid models, which are headed for their 100,000 mile checkup two years later. The RX, the world’s first luxury utility hybrid, provides 50% better fuel ratings and 70% fewer smog-forming emissions than its conventional counterparts. By September 2010, 10% of our fleet will be luxury hybrid vehicles.

In addition, many of our SUVs and Lincoln Town Cars are Flex-fuel vehicles, which can run on either gasoline, E85 (a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% traditional gasoline) or a combination of both. Our SUVs also utilize Active Fuel Management technology, which uses all cylinders when power needs demand and fewer cylinders when practical for better mileage.

Founding Member of Limousine Environmental Partnership

Teddy’s emphasized its commitment to providing eco-friendly chauffeured car service to Fairfield County, Westchester County and the New York Metro area by becoming a founding member of the Limousine Environmental Action Partnership (LEAP). Through its pre-emptive, comprehensive initiatives, this collaboration has worked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to set emission reduction standards for the executive ground transportation industry.
