The reason?
For starters, the increasing use of mobile apps and browsing, combined with younger business travelers are have a different ideas about convenience and maintaining a work-life balance rather than strict compliance with travel policy.
Of the 250 travel managers, security officers and human resources personnel surveyed, 83% reported their travel programs have TRM protocols in place to ensure the safety and well-being of their business travelers.
Of the ones who don’t, 60% said they are planning to adopt TRM protocols within the next two years.
It could mean missing your connection or an important meeting — or it could lead to a wholesale derailment or drastic change of your travel itinerary. Needless to say, flight delays are frustrating.
To make matters worse there’s a lot you don’t know, or haven’t been told, regarding your delayed flight. Sure, weather events and mechanical issues cause flights to get delayed. But believe it or not there are many more reasons why you might be stuck in the terminal rather than heading to your destination.
