In 1932 Golden Gloves prizefighter Leo “Teddy” Tedesco established Teddy’s Taxi in Westport, Connecticut.

All of Teddy’s Provate Car Service chauffeurs are professionally trained and are required to complete an extensive training course within 60 days of hire.
Teddy’s management teaches the program and includes pre-trip inspections, safe driving techniques, emergency procedures, grooming and customer relations. In addition, all chauffeurs are required to undergo extensive drug and alcohol testing and criminal background and DMV checks.

We also carry $5 million insurance coverage on each of our vehicles. We are fully licensed and certified for intrastate and interstate transportation by the State of Connecticut and the Department of Transportation.
