At Teddy’s all of our professional chauffeurs are expected to offer hospitality to each of our clients and “put the pride in every ride.”
And each year it gives us enormous pleasure to recognize the exceptional performers on Team Teddy.
Our 2015 winners each scored the highest points for excellence on:
- client appreciation
- vehicle cleanliness
- safety and adherence to dispatch communications demands.
What particularly distinguished this year’s group of winners was the outstanding customer feedback on our “Spot Check” program, which sends out requests for comments from people who have just traveled with us.
Our 2015 Chauffeur of the Year winner – for the third year in a row – is Henrietta “Retta” Billups.
Retta joined Team Teddy’s five years ago following a professional career driving and dispatching for three other companies. She has been recognized for her excellence every year she has been with us; Retta was also the 2011 Runner-up and received Honorable Mention in 2012. She is meticulous in caring for her vehicle and passengers, and quick to extend praise and thanks to her colleagues at Teddy’s.
Retta received high praise from her passengers, such as “…was very pleased with her chauffeur and spoke very highly on how Retta handled driving this AM with icy conditions” and “It was a great experience and she was totally helpful. We were very comfortable.” and “Courteous service. Retta was great.”

Our 2015 Runner Up is Luis “Nano” Cebezas.
Nano had been driving for twenty years before joining Team Teddy’s five years ago. He says he made the right decision. “Teddy’s is a great company to work for. They’re my family and friends. We have a lot of benefits, including a 401k and vacation,” Nano explained happily. He likes to give the same great service to everyone, and treats his vehicle like his office, which he keeps immaculate.
Safety is a top priority for him – in 25 years of driving he has been accident free!
Our 2015 Finalist is Stephen “Steve” Sherman.
Steve joined Team Teddy’s in July 2014 on the recommendation of a friend. After driving for several competitors, he’s delighted to recognize he’s an integral part of our company. Although Steve is an eighteen-year driving veteran, he’s not one to rest on his laurels, and reports the feedback helps him improve. He strives to provide a smooth ride with all the courteous details that customers appreciate. Teddy’s clients are very loyal because we provide something special, he observes.

To inspire our chauffeurs to even higher excellence in delivering the details of the Teddy’s white glove customer magic, we have announced that next year’s prizes will be $3,000 for Chauffeur of the Year; $2,000 for the Runner Up and $1,000 for the 2016 Teddy’s Chauffeur of the Year Finalist!
