New Pickup Rules for Uber, Lyft & Other For-Hire Vehicles
Effective immediately, arriving passengers at Terminals 5 and 7 using a for-hire vehicle (FHV) — including rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft — must take the AirTrain to the Howard Beach station to meet their ride.
This policy aims to reduce terminal congestion during construction of JFK’s new terminals and roadway infrastructure. The pickup area is now a designated lot near the AirTrain JFK’s Howard Beach station. The AirTrain is free for travel between airport terminals and Howard Beach.
Departures remain unaffected — passengers can still be dropped off curbside at Terminals 5 and 7.
What About Teddy’s Limo Passengers?
